Who says learning has to stay inside the classroom? ☀️ High school students have been enjoying the beautiful weather and making lessons fun! From tossing bean bags to explore theoretical vs. experimental probability 🎯 to comparing the school pond with Truman Lake using population and sample size 🌊—they’re turning statistics and probability into hands-on learning experiences.

Today, South Elementary students participated in an eco-friendly activity where they turned "trash" into something beautiful! They took shredded paper and transformed it into cardstock.
Next week, they’ll be using the cardstock to make Mother’s Day cards – with a special touch! The cardstock was packed with flower seeds, so when the cards are planted, they’ll bloom into a gorgeous flower garden! 🌼🌻

South Elementary 1st graders have spent the last few weeks diving into an ELA unit all about life cycles—exploring how plants, butterflies, and frogs grow and change. Through a blend of nonfiction texts and hands-on activities, students:
🤪Created grass creatures with wild and wacky hairstyles
🦋Built butterfly life cycles using pasta (who knew science could be so delicious?)
🐸Welcomed two tadpoles into the classroom, lovingly named Travis and Taylor
This cross-curricular adventure has sparked curiosity, creativity, and a whole lot of smiles. Way to grow, Firsties! 🤩
