🛍️ Parents may shop the fair with their students during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 26. Please plan to shop outside of your scheduled conference time.
Students will also have the opportunity to shop during their scheduled library time.
North Families: To help keep our students, families, and staff safe, we ask that everyone follow the morning drop-off procedures below. We have been working with local law enforcement to help ensure these procedures are followed and to address ongoing traffic concerns.
Families dropping off ONLY JBMS/HS students: Please use the afternoon pickup parking lot (yellow star on the attached map).
Families dropping off BOTH North Elementary and JBMS/HS students: Use the North car rider lane for elementary students. JBMS/HS students should walk on the sidewalk to the buses.
Families who need to drop off students before the car rider line is finished due to early work schedules: Please travel up Kosciusko Street from Seminary Street, drop off your student(s) at the front doors, and exit down the hill on Van Buren. Reminder: Students dropped off before 7:35 a.m. are unsupervised.
⚠️ Do NOT come up the hill from Commercial onto Kosciusko to drop off or park. This blocks traffic and staff parking. Please keep traffic moving in the same direction and do not speed up the hill or block traffic to catch a bus.
🚌 JBMS/HS buses leave at 7:35 a.m. Please arrive on time!

PTO meetings will be held on the first Monday of each month. We encourage all North families to attend and get involved, even if you weren’t able to make it to our first meeting this year. We’d love to see you there!

🚌 Bus D is running approximately 20–25 minutes late this afternoon (9/16) due to an issue with the bus. All students are safe, and a new bus is on the way. Macks Camp area students are the remaining students to be dropped off.
⏰ PK–1st Grade: 8:15–9:00 a.m.
⏰ 2nd–4th Grade: 9:15–10:00 a.m.
We kindly ask that grandparents do not arrive before 7:45 a.m.
Please check your email or your child’s backpack for additional information and important reminders about parking, arrival, and permission forms. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we make these adjustments!
Today, our district responded to a real safety concern that required a lockdown. We are happy to report that staff and students responded quickly and followed established safety protocols to help keep everyone safe.
As planned, this week our district will also conduct important safety drills for fire, tornado, and lockdown response. These drills give students and staff the opportunity to practice how to respond safely in an emergency.
Your student may come home talking about today’s events or the upcoming drills, or may have questions. We encourage you to listen, reassure them, and remind them that practice helps us stay prepared.
